Deliveries
We operate a nationwide delivery service, which is calculated according to weight and location, and we aim to ship at cost.
All Stock items will be dispatched within 2 working days (excluding weekends), for all none stock items allow 3 – 4 weeks for shipping into the UK. Product availability is indicated on our products, and we will endeavour to notify customers of any delays beyond this. Multiple item orders will be held untill all items are ready for dispatch (please phone if alternative arrangement is required).
We will individually select the most appropriate courier service for each order, and this varies depending on the product(s). Unless by prior arrangement, we will choose a standard/economy delivery service. Should an express or overnight delivery be required, then please contact us by phone to arrange.
For small orders, assistance and a receipt signature is required for drivers in offloading, the driver cannot assist in any further work. For large tile orders, please note that pallet trucks will offload the pallets, however will not work on gravel driveways.
While endeavouring to ensure satisfactory delivery of our customer orders, we cannot accept liability for any damage caused to property with regard to specific requests for goods to be unloaded.
We cannot accept responsibility for lost working time in the event of a delivery being incorrect or postponed.
Please allow for up to 5% breakages on tiles.
Returns
Due to the nature of tile & stone batches, all tiles and natural stone are non-returnable (unless faulty, see below). Whenever possible however, we will accept tile & stone returns at our discretion.
All other 'non tile or stone' products found on our website are returnable within 14 days for a full refund (this is a no-quibble money back guarantee). The goods must be returned in their original packing and in saleable condition, and the customer must pay for return postage.
We would advise that an accurate calculation be made before ordering tiles or stone, allowing at least 10% for floors and 20 % for bathrooms extra for cuts and wastage . Tiles are produced in batches; variation between batches can be obvious.
Please note that all installed goods, are non-returnable, and customers should therefore fully inspect their goods before use.
If any items sent to you are faulty, on receipt of those items or if you receive items delivered by us to you in error, you should notify us of this within 48 hours of receipt. Let us know of the details of your order, contact telephone number and e-mail address. We will then contact you with collection details. We will refund postage of returned faulty items and either refund the goods or replace them on receipt of returned goods. We would recommend that any goods returned to us be sent via recorded mail.
Returns must be notified to Stone Emporium in writing (by e-mail or post). No returns will be accepted without written notification.
No credit will be given for any material returned damaged (unless originally faulty).
Tile Samples
We will gladly send you tile samples; however advise you to pay the cost for postage and packing. Any sampling charges will be refunded against an order.
